Samsung has Tizen (I believe that's what it's called) on the backburner.

Supposedly the OS is ready, but they know that they have to build a surrounding ecosystem for it to be competitive, so it's not launching yet.

So if Samsung goes fung-ho with Windows Phone, I think it will only be for 2 it 3 yrs. Then you'll see them roll Tizen, with phones and apps that integrate tightly with Samsung's other consumer products, like TVs.

After seeing the hands-on video, I have to say that I will happily take the AVIT S if Nokia don't deliver. It's a cracking handset.

I can see Apple easily adding the Ativ to the list like they did with the GS3.

To the contrary, because Apple and Microsoft have cross-licensed each others' patents, the Ativ S is totally safe. So Apple can't sue a WP8 phone for patents any more than Microsoft can sue over the iPhone.
