Why am I unable to turn on my wifi in Windows 10?

WIFI Problems unable to switch on in WIN10

anyone can help me out with WIFI Problems in WIN10 as I am unable to connect anythng via wifi or you can say I am unable to turn on the WIFI, I have a Lenovo G580 (20157) laptop and the wifi is always grayed its not getting highlighted. Please help me out with the problem.

Dumb question, is there a hardware Wi-Fi switch? (and is it turned off)

Did it EVER work in Windows 10?
Did you try installing the proper drivers from Lenovo's support site?

I have had to disable the adapter in device manager then re enable it after every boot, then the wifi auto connects. The wifi is on but will not connect to any network. I have it installed on a Toughbook CF-74, other than a few quirks with IE all good so far.

Try to turn on WiFi using function keys (It will work)
