Actually 8.1 preview was a finished product, only some bugs and issues, but TP as you mentioned is (alpha), alot of missing features, tons of bugs, and for us thanks to MS changes based on our feedback!

First of all 8.1 Preview is dead. The last public version is higher than the preview version. Second of all, W10 versions are now called Insider Previews.

This thread is confusing.

The program to get finished new version for windows 8.1 was called Windows 8.1 Preview for Developers, or short W8.1PfD. The program to get very early unfinished builds for Windows 10 was called Technical Preview or short W10TP at the beginning and is now called Windows 10 Insider Preview or short W10IP.

For the rest... I don't understand any word of your posting.

If we consider win8.1 TP we have seen lot of new features but for Win10 not many new

Win8.1 we got stable build, win10, more laggy n unfinished product, even existing functionality not working propely(more negativeness)

So what is your point? Once more there was no thing like a Win8.1 TP. Comparing W8 PfD with W10 IP is like comparing apples and oranges.

To clarify this as simply as possible:

Windows 8.1 for phones was at no point ever a beta/alpha/preview, what you got with preview for developers was just a quick hack so that Microsoft could sneak around carriers taking ages to release it for all phones, I repeat, there was NEVER anything less than a full RTM release of windows phone 8.1!

Windows 10 for mobile is in fact a pre release software, and its missing features as its an incredibly early build, temporarily breaking stuff is always going to happen when in development, ESPECIALLY when the update in question is changing so many things

So, let me make this as simple as possible: stop calling 8.1 a TP, it wasn't in any way one.

So with that out there, what exactly are you even trying to say?

You cannot consider the Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers as a Technical Preview. It was the final version of the OS with all the features that were planned to be added in 8.1. Windows 10 Technical Preview gets us early builds of the OS, primarily so that we can give the feedback and suggestions. Thus, the Preview for Developers and the Technical Preview are not the same thing.
