I have a Lumia 635 on Sprint with 512 ram. I am on current release build 10586.420.
My Sprint profile and prl list need updating, but I have found no way to do this without going back to 8.1.
Since Microsoft stopped support for 512 phones, if I go back to 8.1 and clean install. Will I be able to get back on the insider preview to put 10 back on?

I believe you will be able to get back on 10 up until we get closer to the Redstone release. (Once Redstone hits the Release Preview, I suspect you'll be barred from 10 altogether)

I hope that is true. I will say that 10 gets better each time. Couple of builds ago I wad ready to bail. About the time Microsoft announced no support for 512 ram. Version 420 is much better. Still some waiting but far fewer crashes.

Sad to say 420 was better for me then current build 494. 494 crashes so much and outlook doesn't like to keep synced that I moved my phone number back to my HTC 8xt on 8.1

MS stopped distributing W10M to unsupported phones through the Insider Release Preview ring. So no, you won't get back to W10M. Unless you hack your registry

I did get back on insider preview and didn't do anything except download insider preview app.
    I currently have .494 installed.
I will say it is about the worst version since.318 though.

I had to revert back to 8.1 again yesterday as the Sprint rep couldn't get my data to work after reactivation.
My phone went back on the insider program and installed 10586.107

This morning without re downloading the windows insider app. My phone updated to 10586.494
I have just finished updating 46 app.s and going through all settings. I have not downloaded any apps yet that were not part of my Lumia 635.

Just as I go to post this I look and my phone is preparing to install 10586.545

I tried now with my 520 forever put in Insider preview.
No updates available, as mentioned by Dona herself. I missed the last July week advice of updating devices to last threshold before kickin out and redstone full switch :(

I'm blocked to 494 and, as written by other members and the #WindowsInsider blog, in case of WDRT device recovery, all uneligible phones will never see win10 again....

I know, that is why I am surprised that Microsoft let me download 10 again. My Lumia 635 is not supported due to 512 ram.

I have hard reset my sons unused L520 att version. I put my account on and loaded windows insider. Can't get it to go on 10. About says on branch WPB_CXE_R1
I have tried all rings. Looks like my 635 was lucky. 10586.545 works pretty well with just some websites crashing.
Should have updated the 520 in July.

FYI: It's "now" (for a weeks now actually) possible to get W10 on phones with 512 MB.
