    When I did upgrades from my previous OS, Hello came pre-configured to use my existing fingerprints.

    Once I did a clean install of windows 10 on the same hardware, it recognizes the fingerprint scanner, but I can not set it up.

    I get to the "Welcome to Windows Hello" screen and once I click Get Started nothing happens.

    Anyone else experiencing this issue? Using Build 10166 on Lenovo Thinkpad T530.

    hmm. I am using a Lenovo T530 here as well and no issues. I did not install any Lenovo software on this. pure windows 10. so if you installed the fingerprint software from Lenovo I would try uninstalling it. If that is not the problem then it may be an issue with the TPM and you may need to reset it. tpm.msc Other then that all I can think of is corruption in the user profile or system files.

    I know the fingerprint reader works for sure and the issue is with Windows Hello. No fingerprint software installed, clean install of windows 10 from ISO.

    I did manage to get to the point where Windows Hello actually asks me to swipe my finger twice and then it goes ups, something went wrong.

    I will check TPM and get back if anything significant happens.

    UPDATE: TPM reset didn't help :(

    I have the same issue on Lenovo X1 Carbon, Type 20BS. I have used the Lenovo System Update tool to update all drivers and BIOS. I have also tried BIOS->Reset fingerprint sensor, but to no avail. Hello crashes when I press get started both with fingerprint and face :(

    Update: This happens when I sign in with my Microsoft account. I switched to signing in with another account (an option in the Accounts -> "Your accounts" panel. And then I got fingerprint and pin to work!

    Did you try to sign in with the Microsoft account after that? Does it work properly afterwards?

    Update: Unfortunately not even switching to a local account helped in my case.
