How do i actually fix this? I got to the app and press the fix account, a popup quickly comes up and goes away but doesnt fix. Then after awhile, it is back to normal to only ask for it later on. Anybody else having this issue? issue on both my pc and sp3

I had a similar issue on my SP3.

I ended up going to the Updates area and updated. I guess there were updates that, but they weren't set to actually download and install yet.

Well, I forced the update and then had to restart. After restarting it told me there was some sort of issue connecting to something and I restarted again. After that it's been fine and all my email accounts are fine.

This one worked for me:
7tutorials.com/credential-manager-where-windows-stores-passwords-other-login-details]Credential Manager - Where Windows Stores Passwords & Login Details
Just delete all of the credentials related to the account, reboot, then -when it's asked- add password again, also, verify account in the Settings/User
