Suddenly cant install anything in Windows store, is this a bug?

Suddenly cant install anything in windows store

Today I tried to install a game from the Windows store and it wont download. I noticed that there were 4 apps trying to update as well, but none of them were moving. When I tried to pause or cancel them, the store would freeze. I restarted my computer which allowed me to pause and cancel, but the apps still down download. Even if its just one at a time. Any idea what is wrong here? Is it a bug? Is there a workaround?

There are other threads about this - apparently the Store is down for now. Try again in a few hours.
