Contacts Live Tile Counter

When pinning a contact as a Live Tile in WM10 does it behave the same way as WP8.1 in that a counter shows on the tile showing the number of emails, messages, etc. you've received from that contact? I just ordered a 950xl, but will cancel it if this is not the case. This is one of THE features I miss with Android.

Hi. I would appreciate if anyone who pins contacts as a Live Tile could respond. I read a user somewhere saying that with Outlook being the new mail app there is no longer a tie between that app and the live Tile. I'm hoping that was just a misunderstanding.

So I was able to finally restore my 920 back to 8.1 and then upgraded to WM10.

A couple of surprises...
One is that Live Tile Contacts Do not have a counter when a message is received, and worse, when opening up a contact, you cannot see messaging history any longer!! Even Android has that now.

Can someone please tell me I'm doing something wrong and that isn't the case? I've been a huge proponent of WP over the years and I'm not sure now there is even one benefit any longer as Live Tiles only seem to partially work now.
