Yesterday my computer slowed to a crawl upon booting and accessing programs. I have my apps and files on mirrored 500 gb drives with my system on another. I have an older custom built NVidia Gforce machine with 7200 intel CPU and 8gb dram. Turns out it looks like one of the mirrored drives may be crapping out as it is continually reading and both drives continually say syncing. Been going for 24 hours now. I can't remove the mirror through disk management. One of the drives said errors at one point while the other was online and only being read. Now both say online but syncing still and not allowing mirror removal. System c drive is 0, and 1 and 2 for mirrored drives. 2 used to say errrors. If I shut down to take the case off to see which drive is accessing it will take forever to boot up again. How can I break the mirror if I find the bad drive?
