- Right so, I've had my Lumia for about a month and the glass panel has always been quite creaky/clicky. As in I'd take the phone out of my pocket and as i touch the screen it would sort of click/creak and shift a bit, or i would hold it in my hand with a normal grip and it would sort creak and if i apply moderate pressure with my thumb and like slide back and forth the glass shifts and creaks? Is this normal? Because in my family everyone has a smart phone and none of theirs creak?
Also one day i may pick up my phone and want to play a game so i open the Game Hub and tap a game i want to play and the game slides open, shows 'Rovio' or 'Gameloft' then slides back to the Game Hub, or it will open but multitouch doesn't work and the only way to sort it out is to reboot.
Another problem I've been facing is that if i have Mobile Network turned off to save battery but keep wifi on because i want to use the internet, every time i try to do anything that requires internet connection doesn't work because it is constantly reconnecting to wifi. Meaning i have to switch Mobile Network back on.
Are these issues normal? Because it's really annoying me? thanks in advance :)04-13-2012 05:52 PMLike 0 - Right so, I've had my Lumia for about a month and the glass panel has always been quite creaky/clicky. Another solution to your second problem is to reinstall the apps, but I understand why you wouldn't want to lose all your progress.
Like yourself I usually have mobile data turned off and use WiFi instead. If you're unlocking the phone and trying to use the web instantly, it wont connect, it needs a second or two, possibly longer depending on your router and the reception. This is because when the screen is off, the WiFi is turned off to conserve power and only connects when it is scheduled to (like for emails) or when you turn the screen back on. If your WiFi is refusing to connect at all then you should just get the phone exchanged.04-13-2012 06:24 PMLike 0 - The creaking seems to be occurring on a fairly low number of handsets. It's not indicative of a major problem, just that the screen is not a snugly fitted as others. If it bothers you a lot you could see about getting the handset replaced.
