Search for an App issue in Internet Explorer

There is something wrong with the internet explorer in Windows Phone 8.1... Everytime I open the browser a pop up window appear asking if I have to search for an app. Anyone else having this issue?

Nope.
It might be due to some previous webpage that might still be there prompting you to search for an app close all open tab and try.

I found the issue, if I go to Philly.com it will ask you to search for app.

I've just started getting this issue on CNN.com and foxnews.com when looking at articles. I've also noticed that when I open articles on yahoo's mobile website, that the page loads, but doesn't scroll. Very strange, considering I've deleted the files...

Just to add, I just did a hard reset, issue remains, so I wonder if it's just some ad on the mobile version that's triggering something. Anyways, a tad annoying.

Must be the ads. Or some bug with the webpage.

Happening for me also on many new sites. Closed all tabs and still happening.
