Nokia Lumia 630 alarm function broken

I have used a Lumia 710 for two years, the camera died after about a year, it never had any major
drops but who knows, a knock in the wrong direction could have bad consequences.
On the other hand the old Nokias could sure take a pounding before they gave up!
I have been using a Lumia 630 for a month or so, now the Alarm App is malfunctioning.
Single event alarms work fine, a repeating alarm with all the days in the week included works fine.

If I make a sat+sun day alarm, or a single day weekly repeating alarm, it will not work.
Theses events after saving will not be greyed out. The events appear not to be saved properly.
You would think that the Alarm App was faulty judging by the fault.
I installed an alternative Alarm App that appears to work ok.
I was asked by support to do a hard reset of the phone loosing all data.
I equate this with doing a Windows re-install to fix a problem with notepad.
Acts like a software bug to me, Microsoft, Windows phone, who would have thought!

I have a Lumia 635 and I have found problems with the alarm as well.
For my phone I have a Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs alarm that usually works.
The weekly Friday alarm did not sound this morning.
I have also found that single event alarms will work.
