Operating systems define a gigabyte as 2[SUP]30[/SUP] or 1073741824 bytes. The difference you see between the phone advertised with 32GB and the OS saying 29GB is "rounding error" It gets worse the bigger the storage device. Plug in a 4TB drive and see how big your OS thinks it is.
