how do i close an app properly

im trying to get onto my mobile banking but it keeps saying login has timed out. clicking the back button and loading the app again only bring it back up to same spot.

How to u close the application properly so i can start up again to login into my mobile banking

Open 8 other applications until it drops off the list of open applications (press and hold "back")

Launch the app from the app list. If that doesn't work, reinstall.
