For some reason when I go to Engadget the portrait orientation shows the desktop version, but landscape will render it as the mobile site. Its very strange, and it ignores my preferences in IE settings. Can anyone confirm this happening for them as well? Thanks!

happens to me on my lumia 1020. However, in their review of the 1520, their site displayed correctly in portrait mode.
