My 920 has served me well. This isn't a "help me" thread just yet. More of a curiosity thread.
So I was using Baconit and suddenly my screen blanks, flashes a couple times, couple colors in quick succession and voila. A dialog pops up with the thread's title.
Windows Phone has encountered a ^FDCE^ and stuff blah, will now reboot and attempt to restore to factory settings and to contact support if it fails.
Dismissed it, waited in dread of a clean device. But nope. Just a blank screen.
Turns out it was still responsive and I went back to Start. I soft reset it and made this thread. No data loss in sight just yet.
I'm wondering if it ever popped up for anyone, since I don't remember ever hearing about it and a Bing search online and here didn't turn up anything.
Will report back as the situation unfolds. If it does.
EDIT: I feel I've broken new ground here, albeit inadvertently. Not an April Fool's Joke.
EDIT 2: so it was an April Fool's joke and I fell for it. Hook, line and sinker
