capacitive lights out since glass replacement

Just had the glass and digitizer replaced on my Lumia 920. Prior to replacement the back, windows and search touch buttons lit up but after repair they don't. Repair shop stripped phone again to check for failure but were not able to fix because they are not sure how. Anyone know what I can do to solve this?
the buttons do still function physically Justin. No lights
