I just placed an order for Lumia 1520. I'll have it in 2-3 days. Meanwhile I'm hoping you guys will suggest some good apps to install. I've already compiled a list of apps.
1) Whatsapp & FB
2) PayTM
3) IRCTC
4) TOI
5) mytube or metrotube (which ever allows download of videos from youtube for offline viewing)
6) Makemytrip
7) Redbus
8) Mollyplayer
9) Adobe Reader
10) Remote Desktop (any good alternative for this?)
11) mynotes or evernote
12) connectivity tiles
13) Bookmyshow
14) Zomato
15) 1password
16) Weave
17) Cricinfo
18) Flipkart

I'm interested in Photo related apps. I'm not going to do much editing but I'd like to have 1 or 2 handy apps.
I'm also interested in games. I'm gonna install some popular titles like Temple run 2, Subway Surfers, Angry birds, Asphalt etc but I'd like to get some recommendations here too.
If you have any other recommendations or tips please feel free to share. Thanx in advance

for photo editing I use nokia creative studio , fotor and picsart.

Nokia's suite of photography apps are very useful, such as Refocus, Cinemagraph...

Games, I suggest Halo: Spartan Assault, Spartan Runner, potentially Super Monkey Ball 2, VBA8, Where's My Water...

1}main carriers vodafone,aritel,bsnl,reliance all have good apps for data/tt recharge and various account related purposes.
2}many banks..icici,sbi have apps with good ratings though i dont use it as my bank is different one.
3}paytym, mobikwik for various recharge purposes.
4}railway apps have a great catalogue...
1}irctc offcial for booking and planning 2}ntes for planning and live position of trains,its a great official app with full routes and live position.3} a 3rd party app equally useful as ntes ..indian rail for planning and looking at various trains.
5}news : bing news is all i use ..there is also news hunt. i find other apps unecessary as bing news put together india today,ndtv,cnn-ibn,reuters together and u can add other sources if u want.
6}food: there is a dominos app,cafe coffeday app,and countless other restaurant and other stuff

7}for pdf files...pdf reader is better than adobe reader...it provides great one drive integration ,access to sd card, and also reads files like cbz format. u can also mail pdf using that app{guess thats in adobe too}
8}moliplayer is a must have.

9}flipkart,ebay,tradus,snapdeal official apps are available.
10}for reading ...both kindle and recently released kobo are there.
11} mytube and metrotube is just personal preference..i have both on my phone and use both of them.

12} for photo related apps...nokia apps like nokia camera,refocus,cinemagraph,creative studio are useful...3rd party apps like photosynth for panorama,blink,sophie lens hd{filters},camera 360 are nice.tons of photograhy apps are there actually.
and there are tons of other apps which is extremely useful {like tapatalk app} which u can browse and find..and there is a good collection of games available too...

- Teamviewer is a good alternative to Remote Desktop
- Nextgen Reader is the best RSS reader. I prefer it over Weave.
- If you like strategy games then you can try out Kingdoms and Lords, Wordament is good for vocab, Frozen free fall is a great game too the best substitute for Candy Crush Saga.

Congrats on your new L1520. Its a great phone and your gonna love it.
