Why has my Nokia 1020 Died?

For some reason, my Lumia 1020 died on me today for no apparent reason. I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.

Any suggestions on what has happened?

Do you charge your phone over night?

Usually, yes, but last night no. I turned the computer off and as a result the phone last night (I charge it via computer only). I also had a new battery put in a month ago.

Try a soft reset (holding down both lock key and volume down key at the same time, for 10 seconds) it worked on my 920

Joost, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!! When you suggest this, I rolled my eyes thinking the reset isn't going to work, this is dead as Dodo. But, needless to say the reset worked first time!
