QI Charging in 640XL

Good Morning. I didn't see written anywhere but does anyone know if the 640XL has either built in QI or like the 925 a QI cover? Wireless charging has become a big thing for me since my 925. Not sure if I want to loose that feature.

I would go get it if one was available, especially if it was the battery and back cover, so you still wouldn't see anything. That would be great.

I don't think it's possible. See 1:21, there are no charging pins. I imagine those pins are only for NFC. But it would be awesome if I'm wrong as i'm no specialist! haha. QI is a must for newer devices, even if it's an optional back plate.

Wireless charging is something that should be a must now that we are going towards a cordless world. I think an optional back plate would be a great idea. At least then it's part of the phone rather than a case like the 925.

This page is in French, but it says that inside there are pins for wireless charging (next to the sticker that says CE0168). If it is indeed true then we'll have to wait and see if anyone makes qi back covers

If I'm not mistaken, it's usually two pins for NFC, and two for Qi, correct?

The 925 I have at the moment has 3 pins on the back and that has NFC inside, but that might be because of it needing a case. Those pins on the 925 do look very similar to the image you posted, just with one additional pin. looks promising though.

I read a comment on Reddit by Daniel saying that he talked to MS and they told him that the XL is capable of Qi charging, but they're not sure if it will be included, or done by region.

If anything, am optional back plate would be great, I would certainly go for it. It wouldn't hurt them to much, they would make some extra potential profit.

My 830 only uses two points for QI charging. So it seems likely 2 for QI and 2 for NFC.

Available in a couple of weeks and apparently offer wireless charging.

Unfortuneately this info seems to be false, the reseller have removed the wireless info.

Sorry if my info have mislead anyone.
Ive bought me some wireless chargers for home and the office and was just lacking these wireless covers so im quite upset myself. Seems like this huge Scandinavian reseller been listing and taking orders on this shell for quite some time so im probably not the only one that has been tricked.

Does not have qi chargning, and the flip cover listed above doesn't have qi charging either... false advertising
