Just recently picked up a used lumia 1020. Considering updating to Windows 10 mobile through insider program, but before I do, what are the pros and cons? Is the camera quality affected? Also, is it possible to easily revert back to Windows Phone 8.1?

pros: you get to experience windows 10 mobile with all the new features and capabilities, get new updates regularly, new apps etc
Cons, battery life might be shorter by 5-10% but it would depend

To revert to 8.1 is as easy as to install and use Microsoft Windows Phone Recovery Tool on a PC.

On the 1520, yes the picture quality could be bad. But for 1020 users, we get the option to use lumia camera so that's a bonus for us. However, for the 1520,the advantage is that camera updates will be coming out frequently so the quality can go up
