My Thoughts on the Suface Pro 4

Great review, the current SP4 i5/8/256 I have is pretty much flawless, with none of the issues I've had with the first one. I use it extensively for Visual Studio, Photoshop and MS Office, and I can't imagine going back to a regular laptop. Game changer for me, but I am hoping for 10+ hours of...

Could the SP4 Replace my Desktop?

I have to say that my SP4 i5/8/256 is more than adequate for Visual Studio work, including some marathon sessions, and with modern cloud and NAS at home, I rarely go back to my "big" computer (Asus ROG 17" in my case). Haven't edited too much video, but coding, streaming music, and picture...

    Any known MicroSD card issues?

Just got my 200Gb last night, and so far so good! Take that iPad "Pro"

    Any known MicroSD card issues?

I'm thinking about getting the 200Gb Sandisk MicroSD card for my media and data files. Since it isn't cheap, i wanted to make sure that there aren't any known issues with MicroSD cards and SP4? When i had SP2, I've had nothing but issues with it so I'm a little concerned... I've played with a...

    Surface pro 4 screenprotector

I have not had a screen protector on any phone, tablet, laptop, etc since my Palm Treo in 2008, and I honestly do not remember any scratches. I take care of my devices, and covering a screen I paid a lot of money for is repulsive to me.

    Surface Pro i7 worth it?

That's it, Bolt is not impressed with the i5, i'm returning mine.

    Wake from sleep

I had to exchange my 2nd SP4 due to complete touchscreen failure, and the new one now has the wake issue - about 1/3 the time the screen will not wake up from sleep (or hibernate) - the keyboard does though... No matter what combination of short-press, long-press, keyboard re-attach voodoo I...

Problem with touch keyboard and firefox/chrome

Same here, I'm actually using Chrome Canary and the keyboard does not pop up at all. Have to manually invoke it...

    Surface Pro i7 worth it?

I currently have the i5/8/256, and it's fast enough for most tasks, although I have to say I sometimes miss the power of my Asus ROG quad-core i7 when working with video or compiling code. I'm tempted to try the i7 to see if my "butt-dyno" can tell the difference, but I do not want any reduction...

    Surface Pro i7 worth it?

Are you just trying to get the post count up? Is that what is driving your pointless comments telling everyone what they need and how stupid they are if they don't listen to you?? As few others have pointed out, your only argument is "because I'm loud and obnoxious about it". It is really not...

    Surface Pro i7 worth it?

Thank goodness you know what's good for us, how else would we know to get m3 instead of something that can actually run more than 2 programs at a time, not to mention 4Gb RAM. World is a much better place with people like you.

Terrible battery life of surface pro 4 - do you agree?

I get 6 - 8 hours, using Chrome Canary, MS Office, Visual Studio 2015 and sometimes Spotify, etc. Screen at auto, power saver kicks in at 20%. No it's not awesome, but it's definitely better than 4.5 hours people are saying. My fan also is silent, unless I'm really pushing it...

    Surface Pro 4 - Heavy?

In other news - why is the Mazda Miata so heavy? My scooter is like 1/10th the weight, and I can ride it to Seven Eleven just as well.

Heat and Fan on the SP4

I'm not usually on the defending end of conversations like this, but it's time to sound like a broken record... The first SP4 I got had all the issues and more. It was a nightmare to use, but thank goodness I decided to try another one. I really have no issues with battery, fan, heat, or...

    Review of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (i5 / 256 / 8 model)

I'm with sanshiro, my 2nd SP4 is silent except when I work it really hard, and that's expected. I can be running Chrome Canary, VS 2015, and Kindle, and no noise at all. I have other issues, like slow wakeup with type cover folded back, or sometimes inconsistent trackpad speed, but I trust those...
