Windows 10 Mail Won't Sync Suddenly

Everything was fine and then one day the Windows 10 mail app stopped syncing and notifying (calendar too).

I have tried the simple stuff like:

- reinstall the app
- change sync frequency
- change privacy settings
- re-add the accounts
- verify account details are correct

I have seen NUMEROUS people with this issue, so it is not just me. I can also use Outlook and the web browsers on this pc (and receive mail fine on all devices).

I have noticed a ton of ESENT errors (454, 452, 465, 477) that appear in logs over and over again. They point to issues with the DataSharingService, a service that will not start if attempted manually (as suggested in another thread).

I believe I have a corrupt logfile but have no idea how to restore it from a previous backup (or just start a new one). All information on this issue points to Microsoft Exchange software and virtually nothing on Windows 10.

Thank you in advance for any help.
