I am thinking of upgrading my 2 24" monitors (1920x1200) to a single 42" UltraHD monitor and would like to know if its possible to have windows display different desktop backgrounds/wallpapers in different areas of the screen, in my case the 4 corners of the monitor, allowing me to display 4 x 1920 x 1080 wallpapers on a single monitor.

Currently I have it so that a random image is set to the new wallpaper every 30 seconds, and would like it if a new random wallpaper was set in each area of my new large screen in a similar way.

does anyone know of any software that would allow me to do such a thing?

Okay, your post intrigued me. It sounded like something I would like to do myself. So I did a bit of a search to find something for us both. What I found was "John's Background Switcher." It does what you ask, and so much more. Many, many options with this. Best of all, it is FREE!

I'm going to play around a bit more and see what kind of random collages I can come up with next.
