Windows Central Question

My Asus Vivotab Smart started trying to do a features update while in airplane mode. Now, the screen is blank except for a message that says "Working on features 100% complete Don't turn off your computer." It's been stuck on this screen for hours. I can't switch it out of airplane mode because the screen is blank (was wondering if it can't finalize the feature update because it can't access wifi?). I've tried holding down the power button to force quit and then restart, as well as doing the manual force quit with a paperclip. When I restart, it just goes right back to trying to update. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Right now, my only thought is to let the battery run down. I'm also curious if anyone knows how to set it so that it won't try to auto update while in airplane mode in the future. Thank you for your help!
