Surface Pro 4 keyboard with wireless adapter on a generic desktop computer?

Is it possible to use the surface pro 4 keyboard (in combination with the MS wireless keyboard adapter) on a regular desktop computer that has blue tooth?

I'm asking because my desktop keyboard is dying and if i can use the pro 4 keyboard that would be great. I can pick up the MS wireless keyboard adapter for cheap.
