Windows 8 will not recognize usb device

[Windows Central Question]

I have tried everything to fix this. I have uninstalled all drivers and reinstalled, reinstalled itunes, updated the drivers, turned off quick restart, disabled power saving for usb port, and a whole mess of other "solutions". What's messed up is my samsung phone works just fine, no issues. And what is further aggravating is that the iphone worked earlier today, then an hour later it suddenly doesn't know what an iphone is. It's a code 43 error and i have no prior restore points so restoring to an earlier version is out of the question. Please help!!!
