So I've had a strange year. In February, I gave up on Windows Phone. The lack of apps got to me. Then I came back in July and left again in November because I thought the platform was dead. If you look around this forum, you can see I'm pretty critical about the platform. What gave me hope though is all the universal apps that were officially announced at Build.

And then the platform sort of revived!

So I got rid of my (very good but boring) Android phone and bought a 640 (yeah at first I got the 650 but it's incompatible with my carrier's data connections which gave me a maximum speed of Edge, lower than 3G).

I'm happy to be back although I feel that Windows 10 is still a bit woozy. It's going to get better I'm sure but right now I kinda miss 8.1. Given it's a 640 I may go back but I want to take the time to get acquainted with Windows 10 first.

Anyhow that's my boring little story. Still I'm glad I'm back with Windows Phone.

Anyone else coming back because they feel it's going somewhere again?
