HTC HD7 TMO US 7.8 Update Steps.

i did download all the files and got to the point of updating my htc hd7 windows 7.5 with details as follows: carrier at&t, OS: 7.10.7720.68, Firmwire Revision: 2250.21.40505.502, Hardware Revision: 0002, Radio: A.24.0.D4, Bootloader version: 4.5.2250.0(129185), Chip SOC: 2.2.50. during the update process the fone restart normally about two times and i got an error: Update device 377ab486 - ef1648a3 - 35242e8b complete with error code: 80180048, error message: IU (Image Update) installation failed due to an error.
please where did i go wrong, kindly help me to update the fone. Thanks in advance

I went to the steps and i have this error :

Update device e76139ee - 47da5950 - 5c159260 - 3df0a052 Complete with error code: 80180048, error message: IU (Image Update) installation failed due to an error

Just finished updating MY HD7 to 7.8; went without a hitch (although there was the COM issue which your instructions covered, thank you very much!) Easy to follow and no surprises. It's a shame TMo didn't see fit to update us themselves. Thanks for the write up!

UPDATE:
i no longer have my HTC HD7 due to technical issues, & the phone is Discontinued so ive switched to the Nokia Lumia 521 T-Mobile, which is SWEET by the way (Win 8.1)
on another note i have the 16gb Micro SD Card if anyone knows how to restore it from being pulled from the HTC, it no longer works normally & needs to be reformatted in a special way i think, & i dunno how to do it

This worked for me except the last one. But didn't solve ma problem because I want to upgrade to windows phone to windows phone 8

Ok i have been able to get everything down strangely tho. but one thing i realized was i couldnt get the files in the folders with just one zip file to update. always came with a red error. no update found or unsuccessful update but all the folders with 3 zip files updated successfully. any reason why? these folders specifically gave the error 8779-8783 , 8858-8860 & 8860-8862 . is it that some languages are missing? if yes is there an update for it.. ?

i have successfully updated my HTC HD7 T-Mobile but only 8858-8860 folder 8860-8862 folder got errors tried many times and here is the error :


so does anyone else have this error ?

edited : after updated to 7.10.8783 none of my apps work even the HTC Apps like T-Mobile TV HTC HUB etc .it just flashes and then back to Main Menu again .

I have an unlocked AT&T branded HTC HD7s Smartphone currently running version 8862 (WP 7.8).

The only snag I have is that the Internet sharing feature is not present in my settings. How do I go about enabling this without damaging my phone in the process?

Please help me out, i have been sitting at this thing for about two to three hours. I ended up losing my back up too. I get this message that says, Update unsuccessful, Unfortunately, we weren't able to update your phone. Refer to the Zune software or Mac Connector on your computer to find out what happened. This is on the phone. On the DOS screen i get an error saying Error:
Update device 0aab2282 - Ob84903 - 61989072 - 20f639a5 Complete with error code = 8018004d, error message: IU <Image Update> installation failed on phone: No applicable packages.

i ve got this * * on where there is supposed to be battery n the service. this happened when i tried to update my htc hd7 to windows 7.8 and i had an error code. now, when i tap ......phone. msg, internet explorer, e mail, it returns to windows. i ve tried updating it again bt i cant continue from ''disconnect n cont. updates on your phone. wht have i to do?
