SD card not seen in PC

I've just got a 128GB Sandisk microSD. It shows up fine on my phone, can save & copy media no problem. And if I put it in my VERY old ZTE Rio & plug that in my PC I can see it and copy media to & from it. But if I have it in my 640 & plug that into my PC all that shows in the directory is my 640's ROM; Twice!

I've googled after I finally gave up trying to work out why, & now I'm desperate enough to post here.

This may sound a little simple and you may have tried it, but is the phone locked or unlocked when connecting to the PC. If mine is locked it will only show the phone memory, but as soon as I unlock it and go back into the file directories it shows up phone and sd folders.
