Surface Duo & Verizon Wireless

Has anyone seen any indications that Microsoft will be producing versions of the Duo for Verizon Wireless?

I was interested in purchasing a Lumia 950XL. However, Microsoft opted to limit the final group of Lumia phones to GSM networks, thus rendering the phones irrelevant to customers of Verizon Wireless, Sprint and US Cellular.

My existing mobile phone...a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge...is starting to show its age. I'm looking to replace it.

I'm willing to wait to see what Microsoft does. If the Duo continues the trend of Microsoft sidestepping Verizon Wireless, I'll spring for the current Samsung Galaxy S model.

I would think they would sell it fully unlocked so you can use it on VZW.

Microsoft would still need to enable Verizon Wireless's bands/channels and submit the Duo to Verizon Wireless for acceptance testing.

A while back I posted the question on Verizon Wireless's community boards, but, no replies have been logged.
