Surface 3 tablet, WC features missing?

I live in the US and just bought a new surface 3, not pro, love the tablet, screen is awesome and I love the size but there are things I don't like.

WC missing features such as q&a, forums, etc.

No text messaging app

Internet use is confusing

I did not buy a keyboard/mouse as I want to use like a iPad on my lap without those features.

I am now thinking about returning it for another iPad even though I want to use Windows OS.

Any suggestions?

Are you using the WC app or the web page? Not sure why you wouldn't be seeing the Q&A and Forum options, unless its a bug in the WC app. You can always pin the web page to your desktop as a live tile, and it will update. For texting you can always download an app like Text Now from the apps store. Why is internet confusing? Though the Surface line can be used as strictly a tablet, I've found even with the Surface 2 that in order to really get the full functionality from the device the keyboard cover is almost a necessity.
