IE links quit working

Very frequently on my Surface Pro, links in IE just quit working. I touch them and nothing happens. The only way I've found to get them to work again is to completely shut down IE and start over. Anyone else have this problem? FYI, I have not tested in desktop mode, as I rarely use IE in that mode and don't really like it.

I have noticed it on my surface rt on Facebook. It works if I long-hold on them and open in new tab though.

Interesting, I will try that. Oddly, it most frequently happens to me after visiting this site.

I get this a lot in the modern UI version of IE. It will freeze and no links will work though I can still scroll around just fine. What I do when this happens is open that page in desktop mode via the swipe up menu and hitting the wrench. Had this issue on Windows 8 and now still on 8.1. It is very frustrating.

Yeah I noticed this on the wpcentral website first, then others. For me, it only happens on certain sites, and not every time. I started a thread about it about 6 weeks ago. No solutions so far.

I have this issue periodically as well. It seems to happen more often with wpcentral. I am on 8.0.
