Hello from Vietnam. Owning a 520, planning on a 640

Hi, I'm new to WC, owning a 520 for more than a year now. Cannot say I'm totally sastisfy with it. Nevertheless I'm planning on a 640 because of the upcoming w10m. Hope it will be pleasant.
Anyway, hello everybody. And I hope to tag along well with WC. There are lots of exciting threads on this forum that sound useful for me.

Welcome to Windows Central. I started out with a 520 and am currently switching back and forth between a 925, 735 and a 640. Oh and I also have a 535 as well. The 640 is a really great device for the price.

Welcome aboard! I also got my feet wet with Windows Phone 8.1 using the 520 as a test drive. A bit slow at times but a nice phone, still. Can't say I'd go back to it from my 635, but it was a great starter phone.

Welcome, you can't go wrong with the Lumia 640. It's a big step up from Lumia 520 and Lumia 635. The screen is really good and battery lasts long.

I haven't yet, unfortunately. I'm testing w10m on my 520 while waiting for the price to go down on 640.

Welcome to the forum. I say yes do it and do it when you can. I started out with the 520 and I currently have the 640 XL (the 640's big brother) and I haven't looked back since! Yes the 520 maybe an old phone buy omg it was a good one so upgrading from such a sturdy reliable phone is going to be paramount to you. I say go for it you will be glad you did!!

I know the 640 is indeed a nice upgrade from the 520. I have the 635, which has the same camera and RAM as the 520, but the same quad-core processor as the 640. It is so much nicer I can't put it into words. The 640 will double the RAM and increase the screen size even more than the 635, and give improvements on the camera. Is it worth the price? Yeah, that depends on the price you can get it for in your country. If you need the money for groceries, then yeah, by all means, wait until you can afford it. It will be worth the wait.
