Phone wont start or reboot! Any ideas?

I let my lumia 1020 go completely dead, now it wont power back on even after charging for 3 hours... I tried the hard and soft resets and nothing...
The same thing happened last month and I took it to a local att and they "rebooted" it and it worked!?!?! Were they doing something different than holding the volume down and power/volume down, power, and camera buttons??

Hold the power and volume down button till it vibrates.
Can you see the capacitive button lights ?

Happens on my 1020 in between without any reason.

Trick is use the above combination again and again until it comes back to life,

Since Lumia Black I haven't had to do this once, however I had to once when I first got the phone. You may have to hold for anything up to 15 seconds.
