How do I get my Cyan and Lumia black update- 1020?

how to get cyan and lumia black update- 1020

Hi! i just bought a Lumia 1020. Can some one please help me by telling me where and how to get the lumia black and cyan update. Also which features cortana. I am finiding it a little difficult cause my mobile update says its updated but i dont see any of these on my phone.... Please guide me through..

To get Cortana you would have to register your phone for dev preview program (just install dev preview app from store) and then set the phone (region and language) to US. With the dev preview you will receive all updates your phone can get at this point, but keep in mind that not all phones have Cyan just yet
Also check info and extra in settings to see which firmware you're on. It would be rather weird if you aren't on Black. Oh a lot of people say that the dev preview will void your warranty, but just uninstall the dev preview app before going to the store in case you need any repairs

If u just got a new phone....u should be on black or cyan out of the box.... If u in India... Then...
U need to keep your language to u.k... And Cortana will work in alpha mode

I am from India.. And its only windows 8.1. I dont see anything about the black update or the cyan update.

I got my 1020 a couple weeks ago and the first thing it did was update to Cyan.
