So, I got my 920 today and simply popped in my SIM card.
I drove to the nearest LTE location until I got full bars. Here are my results.

WOW... Now that is impressive! I did a speed test on my Rogers 920 on T-Mobile last month and got way lower speeds on LTE. Green with envy over here, lol!

Does the Rogers' 920 work 100% with T-Mobile, or just in refarmed areas?

It works 100% because of the AWS 1700 band, so even if you don't get LTE, you'll still get 4G regardless. It's got the same internals as T-Mobile branded phones, so no worries about having to be in a refarmed area.

^^ Yep. This is the reason you don't take your chances with an unlocked AT&T 920, theres no guarantee its going to work 100% the way it should. Get a phone with the proper bands for nationwide/complete support. 1700/2100 bands will get T-Mobile users full HSPA+ and LTE compatibility.

I have an unlocked AT&T device and turned off my Wi-Fi to try similar tests from my room and got even better results!

Still unsure about 4G connectivity, but I seem to get it pretty often around the DC-region when LTE isn't available.
