saving .amr files from txt

My friend is sending me an amr file over mms. It plays fine, but i would like to save it. When i press/hold on it, a menu option comes up to "save as ringtone", but it is grayed out, and I am unable to do anything with the file. Is there a solution?

ya, tried that and copied it over to the folder and it still didnt show up. By chance i came across that custom ringtones have to be .wma or .mp3, so it looks like .amr files are out. (I guess the grayed out option to save as ringtone should have been a clue lol)
