call+SMS Filter doesn't work anymore.

I had been using the filter to block some numbers
as per Nokia's instructions,
Turn on Block calls+SMS on the call+SMS filter app.
1.Go to Phone on the Start Screen.
2.On the call history, long-tap the phone number or contact you want to block.
3.Select block number.. in the drop-down menu.
4.The phone will ask you to confirm
5.If you agree, the phone number will be added to the blocked list.


This happened at some point after "Nokia updates Call+SMS filtering with general improvements and bug fixes" on January 7 th

That is strange. I M running the latest call and SMS blocker on my 1020 and I am still able to get the block function in the history. A bad update on your device may be?

I wish I could delete it like a regular app and reinstall it, I might try a hard reset if I can't get it to work.
Oh well time to try one more soft reset. :angry:

Restart your phone and try once again.....i updated the app and my problem was solved

sent either from my Nokia Lumia 820 or HTC Desire HD

That kind of sucks if you have to do a hard reset. On a bright note, it will feel like a brand new device

I did not,:smile: I had turned off the update notice for call+SMS on SysApps Pusher by mistake, I updated it, soft reset
now I can block those numbers from people who knew someone with my number a long time ago and call !

I had thought it was updated, still don't know why that would make a difference. but it did.

I've never gotten call/sms block to work on my 920 or my gf's 920! It may be blocked by at&t though. If not I have no idea why it won't work.

Both my wifes 920 and my 1020 work with call and sms blocked on AT&T. Have you tried the syspusher app?

Hello,
Even i had the same problem. All you have to do is ..
1) Download "Extra+Info" App in your phone either by Google or by searching in Store.
(I prefer Google since store doesn't show that App sometimes)
2) Restart your Phone.
3) Call + sms filter will be working fine now.

Thanks for the info but it didn't work for me on the Lumia 925.

I went for a Hard Reset finally.

I have hard reset the phone which has reverted to Lumia Cyan.

'Call+SMS blocking' app now works.

Great.

So does 'Back up'.

Great.

How do I PREVENT the phone from installing Lumia Denim automatically, please?

I want to stay with Lumia Cyan obviously.
