It seems nearly every tech site from CNET, to Engadget etc pass the sentiment that Windows Phone is doomed and it's high time Microsoft give up and migrate to the Android OS. But what these tech "experts" forget to mention:

-Microsoft makes an estimated $2+ billion dollar a year off of Android royalties because of the extensive patent infringements Android and certain hardware OEM's have scavenged off Microsoft. Money that Microsoft uses to invest into the WP war chest, which puts MS in a win-win situation whether a prospective smartphone customer chooses Android or WP8 MS gets $$$.

-The same "WP sucks and will never catch on" crowd are the ones who also said Bing would never amount to anything. Yet today it holds 18.6% market share and over 27% if you count Yahoo! The 18.6% figure alone counts for 3.3 BILLION searches and continues to grow and grow. A 20% Bing market share by the end of this year is projected. Not to mention Siri and iOS use Bing as their default engine too. Google once held over 83% market share now it's down to 67% in the same time frame that Bing has exploded in.

-Microsoft services still dominate enterprise and will into the foreseeable future. Many businesses still use PC's and nearly all of them run Windows. Microsoft Office still holds over 92% share in productivity and Skype is the de facto video conference services in businesses across the globe.

-Apple and Microsoft have begun to work together on many services which keeps both firms less dependent on Google (Siri on Bing, Office to iPad, full iTunes support on Windows and iCloud/Outlook synchronization across iOS/OSX and Windows devices. Google cannot leverage Apple the same way that it used to now that MS and Apple have a "enemy of my enemy is my friend " subtle alliance against Google in many ways.

Long story short do a Bing or Google search on Windows Phone and check the news section and you'll find alot of "salty" Android fanboys hiding under the guise of "tech journalists"

Folks have their preferences, even "tech" journalist, but it does get old with the constant bs they try to pass off as unbiased facts.
They want everyone to believe their bs,and just give all of those sites fodder to plagiarize from each other.
