I updated my Lumia 720 yesterday. The update was smooth and everything is working fine.

However when I updated my wife's Lumia 720 today morning, it got stuck at the gears for a couple of hours. Then after searching the web, I found out a solution - pop out the SD card. It worked and the update was successfully done.

Then I put the SD card back. After this, the phone is very slow and camera does not load. Overall the phone has become very sluggish.

Anyone else facing similar issue?

Use the stock camera app and let the phone recognize everything that was on the SD card. Report back if you are still having problems.

mine 720 working just fine but IE really sucks. overall after GDR1 performance improvement seems to be required.

I think the mistake on my part was that I didn't put back the SD Card once the update started working. Due to this all the data in the SD card was not restored after the update was installed.
Now when I connected the SD card to my computer, I can see that the data is in some other format and unreadable.

How do I make the WP restore data from the SD card?

Lumia 920, after the update, hanging alot. specially when typing on keyboard.
soft+ hard reset already but issue is same.
any idea 💡?

The phone is still unable to recognize the SD card. :unhappysweat:

Any ideas how I can make the phone uncompress the data stored in the SD card (it was compressed during the update)?

Yes, the same thing happened to me in germany. After the Denim Update the Lumia works extremly slow. Don't know why an can't find the reason.

Same issues with my 525, after GDR1 update WhatsApp takes too much time to load, Lumia camera too takes lots of loading time and yes IE sucks after GDR1 update

For Lumia 720 users its highly recommended to always keep some free space in phone memory n in SD card else it will become slow n one more think if you connect your phone to your pc or laptop make sure it is 100% clean(wp don't get virus vut they get corrupted n SD card can be damaged) always use good quality SD card like class 10 or higher n if ever the phone gets hanged just remove the SD card. That will solve the problem in most of the cases

Soft reset may help n try not to connect your phone with any pc or laptop which is not clean n secure. I may damage the SD card n even windows may get corrupted
