I just got my AT&T pre-order 1020 - but there's a SIM card error.
I currently have a un-locked 920 with a working SIM, the upgrade to the 1020 is on a 2-year contract.

What's the best way to get the 1020 to work?

Should I just swap the SIM as described here: http://forums.windowscentral.com/nokia-lumia-1020/233854-can-i-swap-sim-card-920-1020-a.html
Since I only have one active line, do I need to call AT&T for a IEMI# update?

Or should I call or go to an AT&T store so they can fix the 1020 SIM?

Did a new sim come with the device? If it didn't and you are getting this error, I would call customer service, and if they are no help, go to your nearest At&t store.

I just removed the sim from my other device and popped it in the 1020. Any reason not to use the previous sim? Came in my case with the HTC One.

would that link work for buying the phone outside of contract and putting my old sim card in the new phone? I had a iPhone 5 so I have in one of those sim card adapter. I got the Sim Card error a couple times but it would go back to showing AT&T again. I was just wondering if this is an issue with the phone or sim card.
