I just did the upgrade to 10166 from whatever the last release was on my Lumia 1020. Like many of you, I could not send or receive MMS on my phone. The solution for me, fortunately, was actually quite simple:
Settings> Network & Wireless> Cellular & Sim> move toggle switch for Data connection to 'On'.
Somehow the update process turned it off and doing a hard reset would not have fixed this. I do remember one of the previous builds doing this as well.
