please can someone confirm that heating problem in 1308 fixed in this new 1314 firmware

if soo i will update mine if it is available manually cuz heating killing me
phone go hot with the smallest task you do with it this is just crazy before this 1308 i never faced this problem

can someone test it and see if part above main camera get hot or not

Wow Tunein Radio was almost instant on with this update the LTE was solo fast. Three tries at Internet Sharing was fast with no issues.

I'm on an unlocked Rogers Lumia 920 on Virgin Mobile network - everything seems to be working fine.

Tested internet sharing. At first, it gave me an error, then I opened up the access point app and activated a different provider's profile (which does nothing) then activated back Virgin Mobile's profile and my internet sharing ability came back. My laptop connected to my phone no problem (only tested for 5 minutes).

MMS does not appear to be working though.

Edit: Virgin Mobile profile does not seem to stick on the access point app - internet sharing does not work anymore =(

Just reporting that Access-Point is busted. Back when 1308 came out internet sharing stop working after the update but simply resetting my access-point profile back to telus worked and internet sharing was back on... now after the 1314 update, the access-point profile are not "sticking" when I try to activate them.

How the hell am I gonna explain to my colleague why my internet is no longer working... as usual, WP8 owner gonna get laughed at....

Back when 1308 came out internet sharing stop working after the update but simply resetting my access-point profile back to telus worked and internet sharing was back on... now after the 1314 update, the access-point profile are not "sticking" when I try to activate them.

Goto cellular settings and insert the internet and mms apn manually, it should work

Go to cellular settings, delete the internet and mms apn manually, soft-reset the phone and go back to the access point app and activate your carrier. The activation should then stick and the internet sharing will work again ...

Only internet sharing is busted and access point is nit sticking. There was an update to the AP app this morning but it's not helping. Any other ideas? I've soft rebooted numerous times.

There are no apn defined... When that is the case, the button says "add apn" where there is an apn setting defined the button says "edit apn". I need access point to work, the apn settings in cellular are useless for unlocked lumias.

Access Point was just updated in the WP8 store - try updating the app. Then go into the app and create a dummy APN profile, apply it, and then switch back to your carrier. Also, you should tell us what network you're on.

Hell, that goes for everybody here - when people report problems and suggest solutions without noting their particular network and speed (e.g. 3G or LTE), others get misled. (For example, it is already clear that there's something different about the T-Mobile US APN in that it contains a hyphen, which can mess up Access Point and Internet Sharing.)

the apn settings in unlocked lumia's is not useless, i currently haven't installed access point for internet sharing issues but manually inserted the data and mms apn through cellular settings, everything works perfectly fine here

1308... you know the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it? well nokia decided to break it with 1308 first, then partially fix it with 1314 haha

from what it looks like a lot of people are still experiencing issues even after the 1314

Err... With 1308, my phone was saying 20+ hours of total battery life. Now, since yesterday after updating to 1314, it's telling me I have only 9 hours and change of battery! WTF is that?? I did sorta debate whether or not to just stick it out with 1308 since it gave me zero issues. :unhappy:

EDIT: Nevermind... I just checked my battery meter and it's now at 97% battery... Even says "21 days, 4 hours and 14 mins," so I guess I'm good after all! :winktongue:

This is normal
