1520 Updates on T-Mobile

So I just switched to T-Mobile, and I'm waiting to get my 1520 unlocked in the next couple of weeks, but one thing I was wondering is how would updates work? Since this isn't a T-Mo phone, how would I go about getting the updates as they come out? The same would go for my wife's 1020 as well.

I would think they would be available when the regular ATT updates arrive. Its not going to make a difference what carrier your on it goes by your IMEI. You will get the firmware updates with the OS updates but it wont matter to you being that your device is unlocked.

if it was factory unlocked well that would depend on nokia but since it's an AT&T branded Lumia it will still depend on AT&T

So the updates don't really matter about the current carrier as far as the OTA, but only the carrier's release schedule?
