3rd party qi wireless chargers bug???

I was listening to the radio on my 920 last night and fell asleep with it on. Needless to say when i woke up the battery had gone flat.
So popped it on the qi wireless pad (not nokias) and left it to charge.
After 3 hours i came back to find a dead phone...So i lifted it off the charger and turned it on. Dead.
So i placed it back on the charger and observed. The nokia logo appears, the phone vibrates once and a battery with plug logo appears, flashes once or twice the the phone goes blank, waits 5 seconds and the cycle repeats..The nokia logo appears, the phone vibrates once and a battery with plug logo appears, flashes once or twice the the phone goes blank, waits 5 seconds and the cycle repeats..The nokia logo appears, the phone vibrates once and a battery with plug logo appears, flashes once or twice the the phone goes blank, waits 5 seconds and the cycle repeats..

You get the picture....
So i left it again, and watched to verify and yes, this cycle just repeated indefinately.
Only a mains usb charger would bring it round...
Had i been reliant on qi i would have been f%^?!".....
