521 slow to detect new music files added to the music folder.

Since the 8.1 update this functionality is completely broken. Before the update I would simply drag and drop a file to the music folder on the internal storage. The phone would recognize it and then I could play it from the music app. Now it takes anywhere from 5 minutes to never actually detecting that I added a file.

Anyone else with the same experience and or a temporary workaround?

You could try to add music using windows media player
I haven't gotten 8.1 yet, so I can'really see where you're coming from.

Unfortunately that's about the only thing I do on the phone.

The latest music update from Monday seems to have helped this. It's not instant like under 8.0 but new additions pop in after about 2 minutes.
