That's not true. Their are alot of guys running 64gb micro sd cards in their Moto G.
The only thing you need to do is format it to Fat32.
635 owners would you recommend this phone now?

2013 gen 1 Moto G has non expandable memory.
The 2014 gen2 Moto G has micro sd card slot.

I don't own the 635 but I'm considering getting it when Sprint releases it. I was debating on whether or not I should buy a used HTC 8XT instead off of EB. I read some posts where people had the 8X and preferred the 635. Is the 8X similar to the XT? After reading through this thread, I'm leaning more towards the 635. Any thoughts on the XT over the 635? I hope Sprint's pricing matches the other carriers.
Virgin mobile and Boost mobile already have it for $99.99.
Boost has a 5gb plan for $45, and a 10gb plan for $55.
Thought id mention it if you dont want to wait for Sprint.

I'd stay away from HTC if you're using Windows Phone. Having a Lumia made the experience so much more enjoyable for me (more updates, exclusive apps, etc.). HTC's update releases were always slow and the way they managed the whole Windows Phone 8.1 debacle was aweful.

Go to Moto G website. Gen1 and Gen2 excepts up to 32 gig Micro sd cards. The problem is Kitkat 4.4 on up severely limited use with permission issues. You can go to PC and download there program then add to cards and manage permissions. KitKat 4.1 didn't have these problems. There is always a work around with Android and that is where safety of Android comes in since it is an open source operating system.
Not sure on the exact dates.
The 2013 Moto G was a 4.5" phone that had, 3G, and no sd card slot. It came out in late 2013.
They followed this up several months later in 2014 with a 4g version still considered gen 1, 4.5" that had a sd card slot.
The gen 2 also came out in 2014 , 5" phone, 3g, and has a sd card slot.
I hope the app permissions get fixed in Android Lollipop.
Well I haven't had this phone for that long yet, but so far it has kept on disappointing me. My use may be rather specific though.
I came from Windows Mobile where you can pretty much do anything of the time. I've grown out of apps and don't really play dinky games, but I'd still like to have my phone have options that are readily available when needed.
The first thing is that Internet Sharing doesn't work. I bought a GoPhone and thought it was AT&T, but now got an unlocked one and it still doesn't work. They put my SIM in a brand new android and it worked right away! And I just found out that MS locks the WiFi API so there's no such thing as WiFi Analyzers for WP. This is one of the more useful Apps when you're dealing with anything WiFi.
Overall, it seems MS is trying to "iPhone" themselves and pretty much hold your hand and not let you cross the street unless it want's you to. It's a big change from the attitude they used to have, where their devices were meant for "industrial tweeking". Now they are just trying to go for the mass market appeal and ignoring customization because they just want to tie you into themselves even more...like that fruit company.

Not sure what type of internet sharing you are trying to use, but my 635 on my AT&T 40 gb a month plan shares perfectly. I've used it for many hours with my ipad and my windows tablet. Amazing phone for the $42.71 I paid for it.

Internet sharing over Wi Fi from my T-Mobile 635 never did work.
I don't know why sharing didn't work so I gave up.
Thought the 635 was hotspot capable from settings...maybe not.
Works flawlessly from my 925 shared to a number of different devices.
My (seldom used) 635 is still a good phone though.

My 635 on T-Mobile has worked fantastic and perfect for Internet sharing since the first day I set it up. Works great with my iPad and my Surface RT tablet. No problems at all here it's one of my favorite features of the phone. Sorry to hear it doesn't work for you rasmasyean.
I didn't actually get my phones/SIM cards from the carriers so maybe that has something to do with it.
I used Net10 and Simple Mobile prepaid from some dinky little shop in my neighborhood with like 1 person working there usually. Maybe there's a bit of a card draw effect here, I dunno.

Hey guys, can I just ask for your opinions. I have a little brother who's still a kid, and I wanted to get him this phone for his birthday. He only plays games (Not necessarily graphic-intensive ones, mostly simple arcade ones) and watches videos, so is it a good idea to get him this phone, and would it be suitable for him? Or should I wait for the new 532 (which I am quite doubtful about, since his birthday will be forgotten by then)

I don't play many games, but I use my 635 as a media device exclusively. It runs Xbox Music really well and I have had very few problems playing videos on it. Don't expect iPhone 6 like performance, but it's been fine for my needs.
Yeah so I think that will be fine. My brother is young and quite ignorant about perfomance etc. so I must say with the price it is quite hard to turn down
So what it looks like to me so far...is that pretty much "Internet Sharing" is not really a complex feature. However, the combination of carriers' different methods to prevent people from using it (without plans/phones that they specifically offer) has basically caused companies like Nokia/Microsoft to insert various non-standardized sharing-DRM-like code into their different phones/OSes. Hence it's a grab bag when you try to get this supposedly built-in feature to work on phones/OS versions not officially sanctioned by the specific carrier. And it's not big enough of a problem to find a universal solution I guess, cuz hey, the phones just come and go anyway so they'll just make the new ones, support it for a small duration, and then forget about it.
