Here's what I am seeing when I was window shopping (It's Sunday and everything is closed on Sunday in France) 8 phones on display, 2 are WP8's. A HTC and a Nokia. That about what I am seeing at each carrier.

That's interesting that the HTC uses the same display screen as in the US (all English, Seattle location, F for temperature), the Samsungs/LGs/BB use a mixture of French/English on the display.

I would've expected to see all French on the displays, especially on the BB, since many Canadians prefer French, especially in Quebec. I'd expect a Canadian company would get French language better than Finnish, Korean or Taiwanese companies.

I wonder if "Play Store" on Androids is always going to show up in English, no matter what country/language settings are used.

No iphone. Interesting. How was your flight?

Very smooth. Customs in France is real strict right now due to them being in Mali right now. Took us a little over an hour and a half to get through Customs.

I am using my Nexus 4, and the Play Store is in French.

It's nice to see WP's on display like that. Are you seeing very many on the streets in use?

You see a few. No more than I saw when WP7's first came out. I see more Samsung phones than iPhones, when a few years ago iPhone was the phone you saw most often.

Full page 820 ad in today's paper.
