8107 Update on T-Mobile Germany

Not sure if this is of any interest here, or if any other Germans follow this site, but T-Mobile Germany has started the update 8107 over the weekend.

Haven't updated the Mrs.'s Lumia through Zune yet, but will do soon, and keep posted if there are any noticeable improvements. Hopefully the battery issue will improve. When you're used to the low energy drain of Symbian, WP7 seems to be a vampire OS....

Well, it seems the update certainly helped the battery life. 46% left after 21 hours of use. I think that's definitely acceptable now. It was certainly worse before.

You're right about not many apps. But it is in moderate use, frequent short web browsing sessions, some games, 2 email accounts, whats app, some phone calls.

Either way, it's more like what I'm used to with Symbian, which is definitely an improvement on before, almost dead after 18-20 hrs.

I have omnia 7 now, but never can compare with symbian in terms of battery life, in symbian s60v5 least 4 days in moderate usage, with omnia 7,2 days in moderate usage
